Terms & Conditions

1. Event Overview

• Name of Event: XO Vibe Showdown
• Type: Online, global solo competition
• Duration: September 22, 2025 – October 31, 2025
• Registration Fee: Free
• Deployments: Unlimited free deployments during the event period
• Prizes:
  • Total Prize Pool: $5,000 USD
  • XO Credits, XO Subscriptions, XO Merchandise
  • Weekly rewards and spotlights for leaderboard winners
  • Opportunity to be considered for an AI Researcher role at XO
• Participants: Open globally; individual (solo) participation only

2. Eligibility

• Open to individuals worldwide.
• Participants must be 18 years or older, or have verified parental/guardian consent if under 18.
• Only individual entries are allowed; team submissions are not permitted.
• XO employees, contractors, and immediate family members may participate but are not eligible to win prizes.

3. Registration & Entry

• Register through the official event site: https://www.xo.builders/register
• By clicking Enter, you are officially registering as a participant in the XO Vibe Showdown.
• Registration includes:
  • Being counted as an official participant
  • Access to the participant dashboard and project submission flow
  • Receiving event updates, deadlines, and announcements via email
• Participants may submit multiple projects, but each must be unique. Duplicate or identical submissions are not allowed.

4. Submissions

• Projects must be built and deployed using XO Launch MCP.
• Submissions must include:
  • A project title
  • A short description (problem, solution, and impact)
  • A working public deployment URL
• Projects may be built using XO Vibe or any external tool, but must be deployed through XO Launch.
• Submissions must be completed before the official deadline. Late submissions will not be accepted.
• Projects may be updated or re-submitted during the submission window. After the deadline, submissions are locked for judging.

5. Leaderboard & Vibe Meter

• Points are tracked automatically based on participant activity.
• Actions that earn points include:
  • Streaks (GitHub-connected activity)
  • New deployments and re-deployments
  • Invites/shares/referrals
  • Competition wins
  • Project submissions and Showcase submissions
• Negative actions, such as project deletion, will deduct points.
• Weekly winners will be spotlighted and rewarded.
• Final rewards are based on total leaderboard points at event close.

6. Judging Criteria

While leaderboard activity matters, quality is the priority for final awards. Judges will evaluate submissions on:

• Creativity & Originality (25%) – Freshness of the idea and execution.
• Technical Feasibility (25%) – Functionality and robustness.
• Impact & Usefulness (25%) – Relevance and potential real-world value.
• Execution & Presentation (25%) – Clarity of the demo, polish, and user experience.

The judges' and organizers' decisions are final and binding.

7. Prizes & Rewards

• Winners will be announced publicly on XO's platforms.
• Prizes are non-transferable and may not be exchanged for cash equivalents (unless legally required).
• XO reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value if advertised prizes are unavailable.
• Taxes, duties, or fees associated with prizes are the responsibility of the winners.
• The Top 10 finalists may be considered for an AI Researcher role at XO, but selection is not guaranteed.

8. Participant Responsibilities

By joining the XO Vibe Showdown, participants agree to:

• Submit only original work created during the event.
• Provide accurate and honest information in submissions.
• Respect other participants, judges, and organizers.
• Abide by XO's Code of Conduct and community guidelines.
• Avoid spam, cheating, or manipulation of the leaderboard (e.g., fake traffic, bots, or exploits).

9. Ownership & Rights

• Participants retain full ownership of their code and projects.
• By submitting to the XO Vibe Showdown, participants grant XO a non-exclusive license to feature, promote, and showcase their projects (with proper credit) on XO's platforms, marketing materials, and community channels.

10. Code of Conduct

• All projects must be appropriate for a general audience.
• Submissions containing hateful, harassing, harmful, adult, or malicious content will be disqualified.
• XO reserves the right to remove or disqualify participants who violate these rules.

12. Legal Disclaimer

• XO reserves the right to modify or cancel the event, rules, or rewards at any time.
• XO is not responsible for lost, delayed, or misdirected submissions due to technical issues.
• Participation in this event is at your own risk. XO is not liable for damages, losses, or claims resulting from participation or prize use.
